Discovering New Compositions

One of the cool things about playing in a Trio is the opportunity to showcase brand new compositions. Our talented piano player, Bruce Petherick, is also a prolific composer. This means we get to present world premieres at every concert!

For our September 2025 show, themed around "Air," Bruce sat down and composed "Clouds." This haunting and evocative piece celebrates the vast expanses of sky and the slow-moving cloud formations that we cherish in our hometown of White Rock.

The full composition lasts eight minutes, but here's just the intro. Keeping our musical offerings fresh and unique is incredibly important to us!

The Inspiration Behind 'Clouds'
